Insurance means getting oneself protected against a certain happening. Insurance does not stop the happening of a particular event. In most cases of insurance such as life insurance, the happening cannot be stopped. Thus, insurance does not stop the happening of a particular event. It gives us protection, so that we many not be financially affected by the happening of that particular event. Insurance indemnifies us against the financial loss that we face as a result of happening of the particular event.
