Dr. Oz Aids Woman Who Collapsed During Trump Rally

CMS Administrator Mehmet Oz, MD, stepped in once again to assist an ailing attendee at an event during which President Donald Trump was speaking.

During a rally in Kentucky on Wednesday, Oz assisted first responders in rushing to the aid of a woman who had apparently collapsed.

The woman was right behind Trump in full view of the camera as she seemed to pass out and then, buoyed by guests around her, eased onto the floor. The crowd begins to shout to get Trump’s attention, and once he turns around they tell him a medic is needed.

Trump then calls into the microphone, “Do we have a doctor in the house, please?” First responders arrive within about 40 seconds.

It’s not clear exactly when Oz joined the efforts, but after a few minutes, Oz stands up and the guest is helped to her feet to the cheers of the crowd.

As Oz and first responders led the woman out of the rally, Trump said into the microphone, “It’s Dr. Oz! Can you believe it? Dr. Oz! And he’s a good doctor. Thank you, Oz.”

It is unclear why the CMS Administrator was participating in Wednesday’s rally; Oz did not speak at the podium during the event.

This isn’t the first time Oz has put his physician credentials to work during an event with the president. In November 2025, a guest standing behind Trump at an Oval Office event on GLP-1 drugs passed out and needed medical assistance.

While FDA Commissioner Marty Makary, MD, MPH, looked on, and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. headed for the exit, Oz walked over and caught the guest as he fainted and lowered him to the floor.

Oz then knelt down beside the guest to render aid, though it wasn’t clear exactly what needed to be done, as members of the press were ushered out of the room.
