Gas-X Recall; MASLD and Alzheimer’s Mortality; Counties Without a Gastroenterologist

Certain lots of Gas-X Extra Strength gel capsules were recalled over potential contamination with a coolant chemical that could cause nausea or vomiting, stomach pain, and diarrhea, according to an FDA notice.

Researchers found that mutations in GPR15 were linked to severe, early-onset inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). (Nature)

The timing or pattern of food introduction after breast milk or formula was not associated with future IBD development, an analysis of Scandinavian birth cohorts found. (Inflammatory Bowel Diseases)
