Presentation
A 17-year-old mixed martial arts athlete presented to the doctor with complaints of facial lesions that developed 4 days prior. On examination, discrete and confluent umbilicated vesicles and a crusted plaque were seen on the lateral face and the regional lymph nodes were enlarged. The patient had no history of recent injuries and was not on any medications. Several other classmates who participated in their school’s martial arts program also reported similar symptoms and signs. Can you diagnose the patient?
