A fast-moving Ebola outbreak in Congo has led to more than 500 suspected cases and 130 deaths, prompting the World Health Organization to declare a public health emergency of international concern. The Bundibugyo virus driving the outbreak has no approved vaccines or therapies.

At least seven Americans in the region have been exposed, including a symptomatic physician who tested positive on Sunday. Meanwhile, the CDC invoked an order blocking non-U.S. passport holders from entering the U.S. if they have been in Ebola-affected countries within the past 21 days.

In this live webinar, experts will discuss the latest developments in the outbreak, the public health response, and what clinicians should know.

Featuring:

  • Jeremy Faust, MD, moderator and editor-in-chief of MedPage Today
  • Tom Frieden, MD, MPH, president and CEO of Resolve to Save Lives
