As warmer weather approaches, public health worker organization “Fired But Fighting” offered an alternative to “looksmaxxing” — public health-maxxing, which prioritizes sunscreen, hydration, and more.

“It was the worst name,” said ob/gyn Karen Tang, MD, about polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which has been renamed to polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS).

Meanwhile, ob/gyn @pagingdrfran also celebrated the renaming and explained why the difference is important.

“Everyone healthy, hallelujah.” Taking a cue from a viral Justin Bieber song, the Yale School of Public Health translated their founder’s words for Gen Z.

Should kids ride e-bikes and e-scooters? Citing rising injuries and emergency department visits, pediatrician @pedsdoctalk said, “It’s not worth it. Get rid of them.”

Nurse @thatnursejb recounted how she almost missed her CRNA board exam.

“People will celebrate expertise in almost every industry … until it’s a doctor,” said neurologist Jessica Lowe, MD, responding to claims that physician compensation is driven by “greed.”

“K for Bebé,” anyone? Pitching her idea for a public health campaign, ob/gyn Fatima Daoud, MD, “rebranded” common labor and birth interventions in order to fight misinformation.

RN @claudiavalvrd borrowed the ending of the movie “Transformers” to dramatize the only thing that can rouse her after a hard day of work.

Meanwhile, @right_on_the_doc tapped into a learning opportunity and “got inspo” on how to talk to patients from her own doctor’s appointment.
